LIVER BIOPSY INSTRUCTIONS

*No aspirin seven days prior to procedure aspirin may contribute to bleeding problems following biopsy

*Avoid arthritis medication(s) for 24 hours prior to the examination these agents may also increase the likelihood of bleeding, this effect is reversible with the avoidance of the medication for several hours.

* If you are taking Coumadin, insulin or diabetic pills, please get special instructions from Dr. Cook, Dr. Davis, or the nurse.
