EndoCinch

EndoCinch is a non-surgical endoscopic treatment for gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is done under general anesthesia, an involves using a special “sewing machine” placed on the tip of a standard endoscope. Several small stitches are placed near the junction of the esophagus and stomach. These stiches or “plications” then tighten the area of the lower esophageal sphincter, thus reducing reflux into the esophagus. Although effective, more patients may receive a better result with Enteryx than with EndoCinch. If you are interested in a non-surgical treatment for your reflux disease, talk with your doctor to find out which approach would be right for you.
